How is that for a cozy little set up to enjoy a late lunch with a sparkling glass of wine, happy conversation and a “to die for” view of Siesta Key beach in FLORIDA at CHRISTMAS TIME?

Unless you have a picture of this charming little beach restaurant, the above photo is all you are going to see, I am sorry to say.

Because………It was torn down soon after this picture was taken and several high-rise condominiums were built in it’s place. That is called PROGRESS!

Do you remember places you loved for their charm and beauty that are no longer there? If so, I hope you also have pictures of those choice places.

Very soon after moving to Florida, in 1978, I discovered this beautiful white sand beach. As my family flew down to visit me, this soon became their favorite beach for sunning, swimming or a delightful walk along the beautiful blue water of the Gulf.

As our happy family’s Christmas Day winds it’s way into the warm Florida evening, our chef Tracy fills our wine glasses to enhance our feast.

And so you see, life goes on, but once in a while it can be enjoyable to reminisce about the beauty of the past.
That adorable little place on Siesta Key Beach is surely one of those places to remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foote note: I have to confess, every CHRISTMAS IN FLORIDA is not always as warm as this one. However, many of them ARE THAT WARM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
