Here are the ingredients you need to buy.

jello1

One box black cherry jello
One can Oregon dark cherries
Small package cream cheese
Package English walnut piece

jello2

Open can of cherries and drain for juice to add to the jello as shown above.

jello3

Crush one cup English walnuts and add 2 ounces from cream cheese package. It will make about half a cup when crushed.

jello4Mix together like kneeding bread dough. Place wax paper on a dinner plate to hold the little nut balls as you make them by rolling a small amount of the mixture between the palms of your hands. Place plate in fridge to cool.

jello5I forgot to say “Wash your hands well before doing this!” But of course you would know that without me telling you. So please excuse my goof!!!!

jello6In medium size bowl place one cup hot water and add box of jello, stirring until well blended and dissolved. Pour cherry juice from bowl into one cup measuring, add chilled water to finish filling the cup then add three extra table spoons cold water. The extra water makes the jello not so solid and tastes better. Place bowl in the fridge to cool.

Prepare your jello molds to fill by placing them in a container as shown here.

jello7Now I’m ready to fill the molds. I first add four or five nut and cheese balls in the bottom, add cherries on top of them then remove the jello bowl from the fridge and pour filling the molds. This makes seven in the jello molds that I have. I place them in the fridge to set.

jello8When ready to serve, place the jello mold upside down in the palm of you hand and hold under hot running water to loose and place on a leaf of lettuce to serve.

jello9This is a favorite of my family!!!!!!!!!!!

AND SEVERAL OF MY NEIGHBORS LOVE IT ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
