My father didn’t live to see this beautiful lake that had been his fourth and last stone quarry.  But he would have enjoyed knowing so many of his family were able to spend many happy hours reeling in those fish.

However, his daughter Bobbie did live to see her grandsons Brad and Todd have an enjoyable afternoon at the abandoned “ROCKHOLD STONE QUARRY” that she grew up beside of.  When my father’s stone quarries were abandoned, being spring fed, they filled with clear blue water and became lakes.  This land holds so many interesting memories for our whole big family.

Hey!  Take a look at the beauty their Dad Larry caught!  That “largemouth bass” will make a scrumptious dinner!  Besides his many other talents, Larry is a SUPER CHEF.  When he and his beautiful “looks like a movie star” wife Pat came to my home in Salem, Ohio for a Sunday dinner, he brought a plate of his fresh baked pumpkin cookies iced.  YUM!  YUM!

How delicious do you think that 16 inch CRAPPY Steve caught is going to taste?  His wife Karen better be wearing her culinary shoes, because I don’t believe this retired ‘Youngstown University Professor’  is going to make their fish dinner tonight!!!

My lovely sister Bobbie is gone now, but she lived to see her three sons and her adorable grandchildren spend many delightfully happy hours at this now clear blue beautiful lake filled with fish!!!!!!!!!!

Bobbie had many talents, among them oil painting several beautiful pictures. Her son Larry brings that talent down through our family as a professional artist, designing beautiful greeting cards.

I have treasured and saved a big stack of those cards over the years!!!
