Both morning and evening it was always, “Who is gonna help Mom milk? Between 60 and 70 cows?” Sometimes my husband. Sometimes the hired man. Usually one of my daughters. But……always me!!

On an early Sunday morning, I hurried through the milking, put the glass lines and milkers to automatic wash. I prepared a roast with potatoes and carrots to bake in the oven while we are at church.

I hurriedly bathed and dressed into my Sunday best and we all made it to church on time – 10 AM. It had been a beautiful morning so far and we are all seated in the church when the minister starts his sermon.

He looks so glum! Then he mentions what a dreary, cloudy, rainy morning it has been!

Oh! My! Goodness! What a surprise! Can you believe I had not noticed it had been raining? How could I go through the whole morning from 5 AM when my day started til 10 AM sitting with my family in this church and not know it had been a cloudy, dreary, rainy morning?

Oh no, I didn’t let anyone know how surprised I was. Just another time in my life, when if people knew they would think I was off my rocker. Well…….I think the Easter Bunny is for more than just children too. Does that make me a bit loopy? Well….meet “Loopy Flo”.

My daughter Pamela made the Easter basket for me.  There is a big white furry bunny, dressed in a yellow and green suit and hat, yellow and white silk daisies, a book, candy and other goodies.  How you like?

In my family everyone gets an Easter basket. See the one in the back with boy and girl bunnies and a tall bouquet of fresh flowers. My son-in-law Tracy made that one for his sweetheart my daughter Pam.

At Christmas everyone gets a sock filled with gifts too.

I’M WALKING ON SUNSHINE and DON’T IT FEEL GOOD?
