LUCKY ME!!!! My birthday present from my daughter Pamela is a weeks vacation at Siesta Key Florida. And we are flying on my birthday November 2, 2013.
That smile is because that plane I’m sitting in at the Akron Ohio airport is taking me, along with my wheel chair and walker, accompanied by my daughter Pamela to Florida where in a rented car we will journey to a rented condominium on Siesta Key with a view of the beach.
As soon as it’s wheels up and the seatbelt sign is off our hostess comes on the speaker and says “We have a very special guest on board today, Flo Fisher, who is celebrating her 91st birthday today”.
She tells them where I am sitting and they all give me a big round of applause and say “HAPPY 91st BIRTHDAY”.After landing at Fort Myers airport, because of my wheelchair we have to wait for the passengers to depart the plane before we leave and as they pass by me, many of them said “Happy birthday”.

I could watch Pam walking the beach while talking with me via our cell phones and be sitting comfortably by the window in our condo.

We visit Sharkies restaurant on the island of Venice for a snack and refreshing drink.
And she took my photo with the Venice fishing peer behind me.
Back to Siesta Key she takes me in my wheelchair over to the beach for the early Sunday evening “Drum Circle” where they play until after the sun has completely gone below the horizon. It is so beautiful!
What a wonderful way to celebrate my 91st birthday. After living 28 years in that beautiful area of Florida……….IT’S LIKE GOING HOME!!!!!!!!!!!
